About
The Columbia Shuswap Invasive Species Society (CSISS) is a registered charitable non-for-profit regional invasive species society within the Columbia Shuswap Regional District area. It was established in April of 2013 after a series of meetings and consultations with land managers, residents and other stakeholders with the aim to develop a collaborative and coordinated approach to invasive species management in the region. The CSISS joins a network of 13 regional invasive species groups in BC; these groups work in cooperation with the Invasive Species Council of BC to inspire action, coordinate management and prevent the spread of invasive species within their jurisdictions.
