Revelstoke Mountain Resort Expands Workforce Benefit to Workers Across Revelstoke

REVELSTOKE, BC – Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is expanding its Ambassador season pass benefit beyond the tourism sector, making it available to all eligible employees who have successfully completed the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce's Ambassador Program.

The move removes additional criteria that limited access of the winter ski pass benefit to tourism-sector employees only, opening the opportunity to workers across all industries who participate in the Chamber's Ambassador Program.

The change reflects both organizations' shared commitment to building a stronger, more connected workforce and recognizes that the success of Revelstoke depends on employees working across every sector of the local economy in our Resort Municipality.

"Revelstoke's success comes from the people who choose to build their lives and careers here," said Caroline Lachapelle, CEO of the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce. "Whether someone works in healthcare, construction, education, retail, professional services, hospitality, manufacturing, or another sector entirely; they all contribute to the success of our community. We're grateful to RMR for recognizing that and for expanding this benefit to support the broader workforce."

The Ambassador Program was originally established to help tourism employees become more connected to Revelstoke and better understand the community they call home. Over the past 3 years specifically, the program has evolved into a broader workforce development initiative that supports employee attraction, retention, and community engagement across multiple sectors.

Today, the program is open to individuals who work and volunteer in Revelstoke, creating opportunities to build local connections, develop a deeper understanding of the community, and access unique benefits provided by participating partners. It currently excludes remote workers.

By extending eligibility to all qualified Ambassador Program participants, RMR is helping ensure that more workers can experience one of the defining aspects of life in Revelstoke while strengthening the community's ability to attract and retain talent.

The enhancement also highlights the growing role that employers and community partners can play in supporting workforce development beyond traditional compensation models. Access to recreation, community connection, and local experiences are increasingly important factors for individuals deciding where to live and work.

“Revelstoke Mountain Resort is part of a much larger community, and our success is closely connected to the people and businesses that make Revelstoke such a special place to live and visit. Expanding this benefit is an opportunity to recognize the broader workforce and help more local employees experience and connect with the mountain.” said Ryan Melnyk, EVP, Commercial Strategy of RMR.

The expanded benefit will be available to eligible participants of the Chamber's Ambassador Program beginning with the upcoming program cycle.
