Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce Announces Leadership Transition

The Board of Directors of the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce announces that CEO Caroline Lachapelle will step down from her role at the end of the year to accept the position of Vice President of Operations and Policy with the BC Chamber of Commerce, beginning in January.

Leadership transitions are rarely easy, especially when they involve someone who has become deeply woven into the fabric of an organization. But sometimes success means watching great people step into even bigger opportunities.

Over the past four years, Caroline has helped transform the Revelstoke Chamber into one of the most visible, influential, and engaged chambers in BC. During her tenure, membership has grown by nearly 50%, spearheaded the Resort Chambers of Commerce Coalition, advocacy efforts have expanded both locally, provincially and nationally, built a culture rooted in collaboration, and the Chamber has taken on a more prominent leadership role in conversations that matter to local businesses and the broader community.

"Caroline didn't just lead our Chamber through a period of growth. She challenged us to think bigger about what a chamber of commerce can be," said the Revelstoke Chamber Board Chair, Maggie Spizzirri. "She brought energy, ambition, creativity, and a relentless commitment to delivering value for our members. The organization we are today is stronger because of her leadership."

Under Caroline's guidance, the Chamber elevated its profile provincially, strengthened its voice on key policy issues, expanded opportunities for local businesses to connect and grow, and built a culture rooted in collaboration, service, and community impact.

The Board noted that while Caroline's departure will certainly be felt, there is tremendous pride in seeing one of Revelstoke's most respected business leaders move into a role that will influence policy and support chambers of commerce across the province.

"Great leaders leave things better than they found them. Caroline has done exactly that. She leaves behind a stronger organization, a clear vision for the future, and a legacy that will continue to shape our work for years to come."

As Vice President of Operations and Policy, Caroline will bring her experience, practical leadership, and deep understanding of chamber advocacy to the provincial stage.

"While we will miss her leadership in Revelstoke, we could not be more excited for this next chapter. This opportunity is a reflection of Caroline's talent, dedication, and the reputation she has built throughout the chamber network. We know she will have an incredible impact in this new role."

Caroline will remain with the Revelstoke Chamber through the end of the year to support a smooth leadership transition. She will also be remaining in Revelstoke in her new role with the BC Chamber. The Board of Directors will begin the process of identifying the organization's next Chief Executive Officer in the coming weeks.

"On behalf of our members, our staff, our board, and our community, we want to thank Caroline for everything she has given to this organization. Her leadership has helped position the Revelstoke Chamber for a strong future, and we are profoundly grateful for the last four years. More importantly, we're excited to watch what she accomplishes next."
