Originally from Vancouver, Joe made the move to Whistler in 1991, where he established a thriving career in the ski industry. His extensive connections in the ski world come from years as a professional skier, avalanche forecaster, ski patrol manager, and ski television show host. In 2007, Joe relocated to Revelstoke, drawn by the promise of big mountains, deep powder, new opportunities, and a warm and welcoming community.

Joe’s community involvement is extensive: he has volunteered with Revelstoke Search and Rescue, the Revelstoke Adaptive Sports Program and Revelstoke Unstuck. This combined with his avalanche safety outreach earned him a 2014 nomination for the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce Community Service Excellence Award. Since 2019, he has donated at least 1% of his income to local charities, and he recently launched Gringa’s Fund, a charity in memory of his beloved dog, to help Revelstoke seniors cover vet costs.
