About

Callum McLeary is a New Zealander who has resided in Revelstoke, BC, Canada since 2008. With a career background in residential home building and remodelling Callum now concentrates on designing and constructing the furniture and finishing pieces for the home or business.

Birch Lodge Woodworks was born in 2015 after an opportunity to salvage an old barn presented itself. With a large stockpile of unique material to use, costing only my time, I started building furniture for myself and friends, practicing new skills and joinery. This has led to two terms of study with the New Zealand school of Fine Woodworking honing this new passion.

Recycling and reusing salvaged material from the building industry continues to be a philosophy of Birch Lodge Woodworks. Wherever possible, as taste and design allows, I like to incorporate cast off material into my work.
