If so, we want you to join our team as a Visitor Services Specialist, working with the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce Team!

About Us:

As part of the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce Team, you'll play a key role at our Business &Visitor Information Centre (BVIC), serving as the face of Revelstoke for visitors and locals who utilize the BVIC. You’ll engage with visitors from around the globe and help create unforgettable experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of local attractions, events, and services.
• Provide personalized assistance to visitors in person, over the phone, and via email.
• Develop and maintain basic understanding of all BVIC building partners (Community Futures, Tourism Revelstoke, Community Economic Development) to effectively direct business resources inquiries to the appropriate support person or organization.
• Gather daily statistical information and maintain accurate records of visitor interactions.
• Assist with roaming services, including driving the Chamber Van to designated outdoor and indoor locations.
• Maintain retail displays and handle transactions with efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Revelstoke and surrounding areas (extensive training will be provided).
• Previous retail experience considered an asset.
• Positive team player who can also work independently.
• Clean class 7 N driver's license at least.
• Second language considered an asset.
• Ability to lift boxes up to 40 pounds.
• Being comfortable working outdoor on different weather conditions.
