As part of the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce Team, you'll play a vital role as the primary point of contact at our Business and Visitor Information Centre. You'll be an ambassador for tourism in our community, sharing remarkable experiences with visitors from all corners of the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of local attractions, events, and services.
• Provide personalized assistance to visitors in person, over the phone, and via email.
• Develop and maintain basic understanding of all BVIC building partners (Community Futures, Tourism Revelstoke, Community Economic Development) to effectively direct business resources inquiries to the appropriate support person or organization.
• Gather statistical information and maintain accurate records of visitor interactions.
• Assist with roaming services, including driving the Chamber Van to designated outdoor and indoor locations.
• Assist with maintaining Shelter Bay Ferry brochure racking display as scheduled.
• Maintain retail displays and handle transactions with efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Revelstoke and surrounding areas.
• Previous retail experience considered an asset.
• Positive team player who can also work independently.
• Clean class 5 driver's license.
• Second language considered an asset.
• Ability to lift boxes up to 40 pounds.
• Post secondary education in tourism management is considered an asset but not necessary.
