As a field technician at Velocity Plumbing & Heating you will possess a diverse set of skills that constantly is growing and adapting to best fit our customers needs. Technicians will perform installation and repairs/maintenance to a wide variety of plumbing and heating systems and should have a strong understanding of industry related codes and regulations. Technicians will be expected to maintain a level of professionalism, organization and cleanliness throughout all aspects of their employment. Technicians are dispatched and supported through a crm software which contains job reports, forms and notes for each individual job and it is a requirement of the role to keep up to date and accurate information with respect to each individual job. As a field technician you will be looked to for information pertaining to both past and future jobs as we look to improve customer and employment experience. 

Responsibilities Include;

• Attend and complete jobs as per daily schedule
• Takes direction from office & team leads
• Document and communicate findings and repairs
• Identify areas of improvement and present to clients
• Detailed time and materials lists daily
• Asset cleanliness and organization
• Maintaining truck inventory levels from warehouse stock
• Tool tracking and maintenance per logs
• Minor vehicle maintenance
• Conducts in a manner aligned with employee code of conduct.
• Works towards company vision.

Experience

• 3 + Years of plumbing experience
• Code relevant knowledge of residential and commercial systems
• Gas Fitter Certification
• Red Seal Plumber Certification
• Blueprint reading and interpretation

Skills

• Power tools operation
• Heavy equipment operation
• Mechanical aptitude 
• Diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Safe work practices, both individually and team
• Lift up to 50lbs
