Part-time bookkeeper

The Revelstoke Local Food Initiative is seeking a qualified bookkeeper to manage our financial transactions, accounts, payroll and other obligations. Start date is early January 2025.


Skills & job requirements

  • Proficient in accounting software QuickBooks (our preferred software).

  • Strong understanding of budgeting, account analysis, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Experience in payroll processing.

  • Knowledge of and manage GST/HST accounting.

  • Maintain monthly cashflow statements and provide financial updates to our board of directors.

  • Manage our bookkeeper email account.

  • A passion for non-profit work and commitment to the organization's mission.


A local to Revelstoke candidate is preferred, however we are open to a virtual contractor (for the right candidate). Must be located in Canada.

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 3 hours per week
