Part-time bookkeeper
The Revelstoke Local Food Initiative is seeking a qualified bookkeeper to manage our financial transactions, accounts, payroll and other obligations. Start date is early January 2025.
Skills & job requirements
Proficient in accounting software QuickBooks (our preferred software).
Strong understanding of budgeting, account analysis, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Experience in payroll processing.
Knowledge of and manage GST/HST accounting.
Maintain monthly cashflow statements and provide financial updates to our board of directors.
Manage our bookkeeper email account.
A passion for non-profit work and commitment to the organization's mission.
A local to Revelstoke candidate is preferred, however we are open to a virtual contractor (for the right candidate). Must be located in Canada.
