We are looking for a motivated and safety-conscious Groomer Operator to join our team for the upcoming snowmobile season. Training will be provided, and benefits will be available following the first successful season.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Outdoor Supervisor, the Groomer Operator is responsible for safely operating grooming equipment and assisting in building and maintaining a high-quality trail network for snowmobilers.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate grooming equipment after completing provided training.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of machinery.
• Perform daily light maintenance on vehicles and implements (topping up fluids, cleaning interior and exterior, greasing, and fueling).
• Recognize and report unusual noises or conditions to the supervisor.
• Complete daily vehicle log sheets and data input forms accurately.
• Record and report any potential hazards.
• Report defects, accidents, or damage to equipment promptly.
• Transport supplies to and from emergency shelter cabins as required.
• Communicate grooming information to staff for the daily grooming report.
• Promote health and safety by maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends, in extreme weather conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment under pressure.
• Self-motivated and dependable.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labor, including heavy lifting.
• Comfortable working outdoors in challenging winter conditions.
• Knowledge of the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club trail network is an asset (training will be provided).

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined, with a basic understanding of vehicle operations and maintenance.
• Responsible, reliable, and safety-focused.
• Passion for working outdoors
• Valid BC Driver’s License (or international equivalent).
• Previous winter driving experience preferred.
• Driver’s abstract and claims experience letter from a previous insurer stating 3 years claims-free (required before commencing).
