Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce: BRE Engagement Coordinator

Reporting To: Business Rentention & Expansion Project Manager 


Position Overview:
The BR&E Engagement Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between local businesses and the Business Retention and Expansion project. This role will focus on assisting in planning, coordination and delivery of an online and in person business walk for Spring 2025.  This position will require engagement with key stakeholders, engaging with the business community and familiarity with the business regions in Revelstoke. 




Key Responsibilities 

  • Work closely with the BR&E Project Manager, Revelstoke Chamber Executive Director and team to create information and marketing materials for business walks, key stakeholders, and the business community. 
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to divide the city into manageable zones for survey collection and ease of data entry. 
  • Work closely with Project Manager to plan, coordinate and execute business walks, including producing and gathering of all necessary materials and supplies, invitations to key stakeholders to participate in the delivery of the business walks, set up of morning and afternoon business walk sessions, and post-walk wrap ups.   
  • Ensure timely outreach to business owners is made through various decided modes of communication. 
  • Conduct in-person visits to local businesses, with key stakeholders, gathering insights on challenges and opportunities.  Additional time may be required to obtain information where gaps may have occurred from initial business walk. 
  • Facilitate communication between businesses, economic development teams, and local organizations (where required). 
  • Track and report on engagement metrics to assess business participation.   
  • Ensure all business walk surveys are treated in confidence and delivered to the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. 
  • Support the development of follow-up resources and programs based on survey findings (if required). 


Qualifications & Skills 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with business owners. 
  • Experience in economic development, business relations, or community engagement. 
  • Ability to organize and execute outreach initiatives effectively. 
  • Knowledge of Revelstoke’s business landscape is an asset. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and CRM systems. 
  • Reliable vehicle (mandatory) 


Location:  On site/Mobile 

Compensation:  

  • $25.00 – 28.00/hr based on experience 

  • Mileage – paid per Revelstoke COC Rate


Additional Information 

This is a short term position.  Additional work may be required on a short term annual basis as needed.
