Position

We require drivers (seasonal, temporary, part-time), who are able to safely and responsibly drive our vans, pickup / transport / drop-off customers, and be friendly and welcoming to our riders. We're looking for friendly, capable individuals to join our growing team!

Wages: Starting at $25.00 per hour, plus any tips you make

Shifts are flexible

Work Hours: We start operations at 8am and finish by 2am (varies by the day) - drivers are expected to arrive and start pre-trip checks 30min prior to the start of their drive time, and remain 30min after their drive time completes for post-trip checks. This time is paid.

Responsibilities

• Drive a designated Revy Rides’ vehicle for the purpose of transporting (picking up and dropping off) customers at designated locations, following routes as directed and guided by the Revy Rides driver mobile application.
• Follow and comply with all legal requirements for maintaining a Class 4 driver’s license in British Columbia, and all road rules and safe driving behaviors.
• Complete pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections to support vehicle maintenance and safety, as required by the Motor Vehicle Act of British Columbia, using the provided pre- and post-trip booklet stored in every vehicle.
• Greet and interact with customers and the public in a courteous and professional fashion while on shift or in Revy Rides uniform.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and orderliness while on shift, such as removing rubbish and debris.
• Maintain a presentable appearance and uniform while on shift or representing Revy Rides in a public forum.
• Take and handle cash and credit card payments on board for riders.
• Participate in snow shoveling, salting, and general snow removal activities as required in vehicle storage and parking locations to enable vehicle access and safe entry / departure.
• Recharge or refuel vehicles as directed and guided by management.
• Communicate progress, issues, and completion of tasks and shifts with management.
• Report vehicle status, errors and maintenance requests with management, as and when they are identified.

Pre-Requisites

• A Class 4 unrestricted license is mandatory in order to drive our vehicles and be added to our insurance plan - a Class 5 personal license is not sufficient
• If you already have one, a Class 1 or Class 2 unrestricted license is also acceptable instead of a Class 4
• Where you do not have a Class 4 license but are interested in applying, we can support you through this process (paying the cost of the licensing and providing the vehicle for your driver's test), however the fees must be paid by yourself and you will be re-imbursed, if successful in your application, for the cost of one successful (1x) knowledge test ($15) and one successful (1x) driver's test ($40).
• If we are unable to add you to our insurance policies due to poor driving history, we will not be able to proceed with an employment offer.
