Description

Presented by Tracey Peet of Selkirk Land Surveying, this Lunch & Learn gives businesses and professionals involved in construction, land sales, and development a focused overview of the land related considerations that influence development, investment, and long term planning in British Columbia. The session introduces the key concepts behind how property boundaries are defined and how land related risks can affect development projects.

Tracey brings experience in both land surveying and notarial practice, offering informed, business focused insight into land related challenges that commonly arise in Revelstoke and across the province.

Topics will include:

  • How property boundaries are established, interpreted, and updated
  • Common development and encroachment issues that affect construction and land use
  • Easements, covenants, right of ways, and how they appear on land title
  • Due diligence steps to consider before purchasing or developing property

This session is suited for builders, planners, realtors, developers, investors, and business owners who need a stronger understanding of land related considerations that influence development decisions in British Columbia.
