Are you frustrated and worried when volunteers leave your program and you don’t really know why?

Do you suspect that if you could manage volunteers more efficiently your

program would have a much greater impact?

If you work regularly with volunteers, you will have realized that they have

a definite lifecycle. By understanding it, and putting thought into how it’s

managed, you can dramatically increase the impact that volunteers can

have in your program.

In this interactive class, we will cover the specific stages in the volunteer lifecycle; and what to do at each stage to strengthen your program and increase your impact.

Learning Outcomes:

After this workshop, participants will have:

A clear understanding of the stages of the volunteer lifecycle;
Specific tools for dealing with each stage;
Tips on how to find and sign up enough of the right volunteers;
Useful guidelines for onboarding and training volunteers to keep them happy and contributing effectively;
Ideas to make the day-to-day management of your program run smoothly; and
What to do (and not do!) when a volunteer leaves.
