The Illecillewaet Greenbelt Society is looking for passionate individuals to help launch a new idea! This winter we are going to launch a Trail Host Station at the junction of the trails in Revy's beautiful flats. This is your chance to combine your love for nature, winter fun, and community spirit while leading the development of this station a welcoming hub for outdoor enthusiasts.

About Us
The Illecillewaet Greenbelt Society (IGS) works to preserve the natural riparian zone along the Illecillewaet River, encompassing woodlands and meadows. We balance conservation with accessibility, providing year-round recreational opportunities.
Key Goals:
- Maintain natural habitat for wildlife within city limits.
- Conserve natural resources.
- Promote responsible and sustainable use of the area.
We achieve this through multi-use trails, winter track setting, habitat restoration, and conservation projects in collaboration with local organizations.
Position Overview
The Winter Trail Host Station Coordinator will lead the development and operation of a new Winter Trail Host station at the junction of our trail network. This role offers an opportunity to enhance winter recreation experiences for the Revelstoke community while promoting the society's conservation goals. We hope to have volunteers at the station for 2-4 hours on weekends, with the possibility of evening shifts for special events.

- Welcome the Community: Create a warm, inviting atmosphere that encourages everyone to enjoy and care for our trails.
- Lead the Charge: Plan and set up the Winter Trail Host Station, making it a beacon for trail users.
- Coordinate Volunteers: Build a team of enthusiastic volunteers to help run the station.
- Add a Personal Touch: Develop ideas like a cozy warming tent, a fire pit, or special evening events to make the experience unforgettable.
- Engage & Learn: Gather feedback, track trail usage, and explore ways to improve the station & our trails over time.
