The Revelstoke and District Humane Society is recruiting board members.  Elections take place at our Annual General Meeting on April 16th.  Contact us in advance of this meeting if you are interested of would like to know more.

We are seeking to fill the following specific roles:

Vice President - Support the team in a number of ways, including assisting any of the other board member roles as needed.  May help with shelter operations, adoptions, animal intake, grant administration, and fundraising depending on the candidates interests and the society's needs.

Secretary - record and distribute minutes at our meetings, create meeting agendas, keep records filed correctly.  No prior experience is necessary however basic computer skills are a must.

Grant Administrator - We get a lot of our funding through grants.  This role would include applying for grants, directing grant funds, and completing grant reports. No previous experience necessary.  Basic computer knowledge is an asset.

Volunteer Coordinator - respond to volunteer applications and existing volunteers enquiries, schedule volunteers, communicate news with volunteers, eventually training volunteers. While no specific experience is necessary, good communication and people skills are needed.  

All roles will have training provided.  Directors are expected to attend evening board meetings 9 times a year.
