The ACC Columbia Mountains Section is looking for new members on our activities committee. The Activities committee supports our trip leaders and participants, fulfilling our goal to foster opportunities for community members to explore the outdoors while building skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Prospective activities committee members may bring experience or interest in one or more of the following areas, or let us know what skills you might have to help support our goals:

- governance leadership: coaching, and leading leadership events/ seminars; creating policy, leadership handbook, etc.

- technical leadership: leading or supporting leadership in skiing, rock climbing, ice climbing, mountaineering, or hiking

- administration: reviewing trip suggestions, ensuring participants are ACC members, be an in town communication point for trip leaders

- technical support: maintaining trip sign-up online platforms

- marketing: publishing trip advertisements, trip reports, blog posts, photos, etc.

ACC Columbia Mountains Mission:

To foster opportunities to share in the abundance of outdoor activities that Revelstoke and the surrounding communities and mountains have to offer. To help educate and promote safety in the mountains through courses, mentorship, trip leading, personal development and provide opportunities to gain the skills needed to safely travel with a group.
