Community Futures Workshop - Credit Counseling

June 4, 2026 (10:00 AM - 11:30 AM) (PDT)

Description

Join us to explore the realities of credit and bust common myths. You’ll learn the ins and outs of credit reports, ratings, and scores—what they are, how they’re used, and what you can do to manage or improve them.

According to the latest Equifax Canada data (Q4 2025, released in 2026), consumer debt in Canada continues to rise, with non-mortgage debt increasing year over year as total household debt reached about $2.65 trillion. On an individual level, the average non-mortgage consumer debt is now roughly $22,000 per person in 2026, up slightly from previous years. Meanwhile, credit scores in Canada still range from 300 to 900, but the national average has improved modestly to around 670–680, placing most Canadians in the “good” credit category based on recent data from TransUnion and other industry sources.
