The Chamber is gathering feedback from businesses across all sectors to better understand how highway closures during the Winter 2025–2026 season affected local businesses - specifically closures when commercial traffic was held at Malakwa and periodically unable to access Revelstoke.

This information will be shared with the Ministry of Transportation, City Council, and our MLA, to support discussions on long-term solutions and improved planning for future closures.

The dates below reflect highway closures between Revelstoke and Golden where commercial vehicle traffic was held at Malakwa. These dates are provided for reference, if helpful, when reviewing your records.
