Join us for an informative session on change, presented by Amelia Welsh from Stoked Creative!

This session is exclusively available to our Non-Profit Members. If the details are of interest to you, please register for the Lunch and Learn version of this event that's open to all, taking place January 11th.

Space is limited for this event, so please only send the most relevant individual from your organization - Think who'll benefit most from this session and can share it with the rest of your team (an executive or manager for example).

Change is both inevitable and hard.

It’s never as easy as we think it will be because, shock horror, people just don’t like changing all that much!

We get comfortable in what we know, and change brings feelings of uncertainty and a lack of control. But there are tools and practices you can use to help manage change, leading to less chaos and disruption to your organization and more reasons for your staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to feel supported and engaged.

Join change “insider,” Amelia Welsh of Stoked Creative, for a practical discussion on the key principles of change management—a practice used in organizations to help transition people through change and fully realize the impact and mission-driven outcomes they’re aiming for. Having worked with some of Canada’s largest organizations, Amelia brings a pragmatic, people-focused approach with many-a-story of the do’s and don’ts for successful change in any organization, regardless of size or sector.

In this evening session, we’ll cover practical strategies and tools that you can apply to help your team and stakeholders successfully adopt change and build resiliency for future transitions.

Whether you’re implementing a new donor management system, shifting to virtual program delivery, or adapting to new funding requirements or policy changes—learning the key components of change management will help you respond and effectively manage the storm that change often brings.

Session Outline

In this session, through real-life practical examples, we’ll cover:

  • What change management is and how it can help NPOs
  • The people side of change—why people resist and what we can do about it.
  • Simple, actionable tools to help guide your organization through change.
  • Common challenges and pitfalls when managing change and how to avoid them.
  • Ways to engage and motivate your team, volunteers, and partners during transitions

Who’s this for?

This session is perfect for business owners, leaders or managers who want to understand how they can better prepare their business, customers and employees for change.
